Spontaneous events with an emphasis on play and letting go in a social setting. From mindful swimming in the Maumee River, to hiking in Oak Openings Metropark. From snowshoeing at Sidecut, to walking at Ocean Beach in San Francisco, just to name a few of the wanderings…

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
These happenings are with an emphasis on social engagement. From collecting garbage along with Anthony Wayne Trail or the Rivers edge of the Maumee, to preparing and distributing brown bag lunches in downtown Toledo to the hungry, and sitting with those who live on the streets in San Francisco, just to name a few of the engagements…
This gathering will be Brown Bag Meal and Street Sitting with others who call the streets their home. We will offer food and water, and most importantly, our time, with no expectations, just being with. We will meet at the Toledo Courthouse @ 700 Adams St.MINDFUL MONDAYS
Gather in stillness and reflection, silence and words, love and gratitude, opening the heart to the unknown and diving into the practice of beginners mind, please join us. This gathering is an hour session, tho you can come in at anytime and log off whenever you need, it’s an open session.
RECOVERY SANGHA
STARTING IN APRIL
This gathering is for anyone in recovery or supports someone in recovery. We explore the connections between Buddhist practice and 12 step recovery. The evening begins with a brief meditation instruction, followed by a period of meditation, a brief dharma talk, followed with an open discussion. It’s a 60 minute gathering.
GRATEFUL FIRST FRIDAYS
STARTING IN APRILGrateful First Fridays is a time to come together, reflect, and touch the heart mind of gratitude. GFF gathers for an hour, combining a 20 minute period of meditation with a short talk, followed with reflection and an open discussion.
The Word of The Day from the Network for Grateful Living will be used to inspire our conversation.
